Beaulieu-en-Argonne est situé dans le paysage vallonné de la forêt d'Argonne. Par le passé, le village était le siège d'une importante abbaye bénédictine, construite au XIIème siècle à l'endroit où Saint-Rouin avait fondé un monastère au VIIème siècle. C'est un village "rue", typiquement lorrain que les habitants ont entrepris de faire revivre grâce au fleurissement : 14 000 plantes sont installées tous les ans, dans un style très naturel de jardin anglais. C'est un but de promenade reposant et vivifiant. Vous pouvez même y séjourner dans les trois gîtes ruraux ou à l'Hostellerie de l'Abbaye, oû vous serez accueillis simplement mais chaleureusement.

Beaulieu-en-Argonne is in the undulating landscape of the Forest of Argonne. In the past, the village was home to a major Benedictine abbey, built in the 12th century on the site where Saint-Rovin had founded a monastery in the 7th Century. This is a "street" village, typical of Lorraine, which the local people have brought back to life through flowers. 14000 plants are put in every year, in a very natural English garden style. A gentle stroll here is relaxing and refreshing. You can even stay here in the two countryside "gites" or the Hostellerie de l'Abbaye, where you will be given a simple, but warm welcome.
